awesome show, top 5 of the 90s...

also, I'm a deadhead, but was never a hippy, there is a distinction, you would never find me crapping on somebody's lawn or crashing a gate or wearing matted stinky ass dreads and being a parasite, then giving an attitude when somebody calls you out...:)

a "good"Hippie knows what is hip
a "good" Deadhead knows what is hip about the G.D.

Dear Stratocaster
-sorry you were never a "good" hippie,
-glad your not a "bad' one...

I'm also glad to hear your a "good" Deadhead,
and not one of those stinky "bad" Deadheads
-good for you!

some get on the bus- some get off
some wouldn't know "the bus"
if it bite them on the ass
some just bark at the wheels- and some stay home.
armchair warriors are good in bad wars,
and bad in good ones.
-and gentlemen should be gentle men.

You are correct that there is a distinction between a "deadhead" and a "hippy", but I think you should also recognize the distinction between "hippy"(which BTW is a label placed on the counter-culture youth of the 60's by the media and never really embraced by those so labeled who were much more likely to refer to themselves as "freaks") and the self-proclaimed(touch-head) "neo-hippy" who is usually disdainfully referred to as a "wookie". Your definition fits the "wookies" much better than the "freaks".

Dude you forgot about the trust-a-farians who with the help of Bob-o-Wier and Princess Leshia tried to encase Jerrys Solo into a block of pure Thick Air and what's more if it weren't for O'BK3pio and his band of Jedi Wookies there would be no way one could touch your head to your hippy during a Death Star into Corrina jam, methinks.
Just sayin is all.

I suppose I'm painting with a broad brush, had some roomates backin the day who were good hippies, however had too many run ins with bad hippies that it's spoiled my perception...
